Tips for Tesl Interview

I have been posting entries regarding tesl interview for several times before but when I reread them I found that they weren't such a good masterpiece. So I decided to update the latest version of it. Updating and reposting and hopefully it will be better than before. 

Based on my experience, I think you should be prepared and prepare everything from A to Z a week before the interview. The faster the better.

What should you bring? 

1. Identity card 

2. Birth certificate

3. Spm result

4. Related certificates

5. Resume

# Please prepare one set of photocopies (item 1-5). Senang. Kalau panel mintak boleh directly bagi je. 

# Kalau ada resume, I think they will be giving you additional marks. Why? Sebab orang lain tak prepare for resume but you did. Effort tu. 

# Tolong compile semua benda dalam satu holder. Yang photocopies pulak tolong compile asing sebab benda tu nak bagi kat panel.

Here come the most useful tips which I keep practicing until today.

If you are waiting for your turn, please be warm with others, smile and greet people around you. Dulu aku tegur orang sebelah aku sampai aku dapat tau yang budak tu dah prepare for current issues yang normally panel akan tanya. Dia siap photostat extra ok?

Malu bertanya sesat jalan. If you are not so sure about something you need to ask people around you. Keep asking something. Kat situ nanti everyone akan tukar tukar pendapat and soalan bocor you know?

Don't forget to bring mineral water and dress nicely. Bring water sebab nanti bibir you cepat kering because you are under pressure. Yang tak biasa pakai shawl, tak payahla pakai shawl hari interview. Be comfortable with your attire. 

Don't dare to talk in Malay! Panels will be fine if you are breaking Grammar rules but please no Malay languange today. Not today! You are applying for tesl course how come you want to talk in Malay? 

Ask the panels some questions before you leave the room. They just want to see you talk with good content.
